About me

Hi,

My name is Daniela Fernandez Espinosa and I am a Senior Data Engineer at Ask Media Group (AMG) in Oakland, California. My passion is developing Data Intensive Applications that help companies to create reliable, scalable, and maintainable data environments. Before working at AMG, I was a Business Technology Analyst at Deloitte Consulting. I got my Master Degree in Information Management from iSchool at Syracuse University. I have a certificate of advanced studies in Data Science by Syracuse University. I recently completed the Data Engineering Career track by DataCamp.

For the past year, I’ve been volunteering as a Report Analyst at Latinas in Tech, where I contribute in my spare time to ensure data consistency across various sources, including Databox dashboards, SQL queries, and internal reports. My responsibilities include validating dashboard data, aligning it with key performance metrics, and ensuring all reported information is accurate, meaningful, and meets defined criteria.

My research interests and activities are related to three broad areas: high performance computing for big data analysis, information visualization, and data architecture.
